In 1995, Leigh Henderson opened Alexa’s Cafe on Main Street in Bothell; a wonderful breakfast and lunch gathering place that offers the community awesome food and service. Along with our standard staples, you may find a new and exciting flavor recently added to the menu. At the cafe, you will often see a familiar face, someone from work, school, church, or your neighborhood. So come to the cafe, bring your family and friends, and enjoy a meal in our beautiful and warm environment with tall brick walls, white wainscoting, local art, warm colors, and comfortable pine furniture.
LOCAL AND FAMILY OWNED
Leigh Henderson created Alexa’s Cafe in 1995, as a gathering place where people could relax with friends and family, have a drink, and share stories over hearty portions of fresh, comfortable food. Leigh named the Cafe after her youngest daughter, who now owns and manages the business with together with her mom. At Alexa’s Cafe & Catering, we love to build relationships over food. We also cater from the restaurant, providing food for weddings, corporate, and social events throughout the region.

Leigh is the founder of Alexa’s Cafe & Catering, started in 1991 with Alexa’s Catering and then opening Alexa’s Cafe in 1995. She is the consummate entrepreneur, constantly finding the best opportunities to keep her business growing. Leigh’s passion for community, food, and family cannot be understated. She loves to teach and grow. In her spare time, Leigh loves spending time with her grandchildren, her dog Sky, as well as living in her new home in Cle Elum!
Alexa is the namesake of the business, and the manager of all things catering. Her name means “helper of mankind.” She loves what she does, and has built an amazing staff and business because of her ability to juggle jobs as well as turn chaos into calm. She is a respected and loyal leader…she leads by example. In her spare time, Alexa is loving on her young daughter.
Danica is the manager of all things at the Cafe. Please stop and thank Danica next time you have a thought about how our Cafe staff is so kind, considerate and attentive. She is the heart of Alexa’s Cafe. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her husband and daughter, doting on our staff by treating them with respect, and showering them with gifts and gratitude.
Fresh faced and ready to contribute, Robbi has most recently joined our team of leaders. With years of catering sales experience that include Chateau Lill, El Gaucho Catering and Aqua under her belt, she is quickly finding her place with Alexa’s and is the point of contact for any and all future events. In her spare time, Robbi is raising two daughters, two dogs, one bunny and one bird!

Alison Hess
Alison is the assistant manager of the Cafe. You will see her smiling face when greeted at the Cafe. She does a fabulous job of managing staff, bringing fun vegan ideas to our menu, she is a people person and provides excellent customer service! In her spare time you will find her enjoying time with her fiancé and 3 dogs.

1995: Alexa's Cafe Grand Opening
“Alexa’s on Main” opens its doors in downtown Bothell, welcoming the community to gather and connect
2015: 20th Anniversary
